Five Generations of baking in North Cheshire have given us the knowledge and skills to create craft bakery products. Our skilled bakers are up early every morning to ensure our shops and wholesale customers recieve freshly baked quality products.
We produce a wide selection of bread, made by traditional methods, bulk fermentation and sour dough are part of our everyday process. In addition to our normal weekly selection (white, wholemeal, multi grain, rye and French bread) we also produce speciality breads including sunflower and rye, ciabatta, fitty, spelt and low G.I. We are constantly develpoing new products in order to keep up with current trends and always welcome new ideas and comments from our customers.
Our savoury products include our famous hand raised beef and pork pies – delicious hot from the oven with a crisp golden crust. We also produce sausage rolls, Cornish rolls and vegetarian options. As well as our range of pies: steak, steak and blue cheese, meat and potato and chicken and mushroom. These are all baked fresh on a daily basis. A number of these products are available for home baking and may be purchased frozen and unbaked.
Our Shops produce their own sandwiches (with freshly baked bread) – these can be purchased ready made or, alternatively, there is a ‘Made to Measure’ counter where you can choose your own fillings. At the Runcorn and Weaverham shops there is now the facility to sit down and enjoy a drink, and maybe a bite to eat.
At Christmas and Easter we sell seasonal chocolate lines, the majority of which are made in a dedicated chocolate production room from the finest Belgian chocolate. These include such things as filled chocolates, chocolate truffles, figures and personalised Easter eggs all beautifully packaged.
We have a company policy to buy local where possible: locally produced free range eggs, potatos from Jacksons Farm. Our meat is supplied from H E Cowards Frodsham which has full traceability.
